Doreen Liu
Ms. Doreen Liu, Promoter and Director at ACES, is the guiding light providing policy direction to ACES. She is Group Managing Director of World Scientific Publishing and is based at Singapore. She was the Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) and has assumed several important roles within the publishing industry, including the Executive Board Member of the Scientific, Technical and Medical Association (STM), Chairman of the Publishing Association of Singapore, Council Member and Chairman, Publishing Committee of Singapore-British Business Council (Singapore Economic Development Board), and Chairman of Printing and Publishing Advisory Committee (Singapore Trade Development Board). She has also been awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Women in Asia 2010” by Financial Times & RBS Coutts Bank.
Max Phua
Mr. Max Phua, Promoter and Director at ACES, is the Chief Mentor and focusses on business development and client relationship. He is the Managing Director of World Scientific Publishing and is based in Singapore. He manages the global business operations of WSPC together with the company’s departmental and regional directors in the company’s headquarters in Singapore and offices in New Jersey, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo, Munich, Chennai and Hong Kong. Mr Phua was the former Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Book Publisher’s Association and former council member of the Book Development Council of Singapore. He is also a member of the Young Business Leaders by Singapore Business Federation, a member of the International Industrial Advisory Board of the Knowledge Management Laboratory of the National University of Singapore and former board members respectively for both Economic Society of Singapore and The International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers.
Ranjana S Rajan
Ms. Ranjana Rajan, based in Chennai, is Director and co-promoter of ACES. Her 25 years work experience comprises 10 years of general management and project management in an international organization promoting institutional development and cultural relations followed by 15 years of achievements in publishing services industry. Ranjana has successfully established and managed publishing services companies in India providing a wide range of services to the global academic and scientific publishing industry. Her track record includes formation and management of large professional resource teams. At ACES, Ranjana works closely with authors of international repute, initiates and manages institutional relationships with top scientific and academic establishments in India and overseas, in addition to taking responsibility for corporate growth and profitability.
Nisha Das
Ms. Nisha Das, based in Chennai, is Head of Operations at ACES and is responsible for all production and support teams, including project management, editorial, quality assurance and technical support. She is also in charge of setting up new workflow processes and putting in place quality systems to ensure high quality project management and production standards for all projects managed at ACES. She works closely with the Journal/Book Editors and Project Managers in order to guarantee high client satisfaction levels via a thorough assessment of customer expectations. Nisha has over a decade long rich experience in managing large production teams, setting up workflow processes and implementing quality procedures in international academic publishing services companies.
